Our friendly reception team will greet you on arrival, making you feel safe, comfortable and relaxed. We are a family-run business and we aim to make every patient feel as if they are part of our family.
You will meet with our treatment coordinator in a non-clinical setting. They will discuss your medical and dental history and go through a smile questionnaire to help us get an understanding of your concerns and build a picture of your requirements. The treatment coordinator will then take you to meet your dentist.
Your dentist will ask if you have any concerns with your teeth or gums before carrying out your dental check-up. They will then take a good look at your teeth, gums and soft tissues and the dental nurse will take notes.
After your check-up, your dentist will thoroughly explain everything to you, providing oral health advice as required. If any treatment is required, they will create a recommended treatment plan for you to consider.
Dental check-ups are the foundation of your dental care. Your dentist uses these to get a good understanding of your dental health and can advise if any further treatment is required.
Regularly attending your dental check-ups is important as it allows us to monitor your dental health and treat problems early on. In doing so we can manage any concerns before they become serious or expensive.
At Treehouse Dental, we recommend that you visit us every 6 months for a dental check-up. This allows us to keep an eye on your oral health and means that we will spot any problems in the earliest stages when they are easier and more cost effective to treat.
Some patients may require more regular check-ups, perhaps every 3 months, depending on your oral health requirements. Your dentist will be able to explain the best frequency for you.

Sometimes patients will contact us experiencing tooth pain, and this is often due to an infection within the root of one of their teeth. This occurs when bacteria enters the tooth via a crack in the surface.
Root canal treatment at Treehouse Dental is carried out by our specialist endodontist. The treatment involves carefully drilling a hole that allows us to reach the infection with special tools to thoroughly clean it. The root is then filled and sealed, and a new crown will be placed to replace the broken tooth.

The great news is that your Treehouse Dental team have the solution in the form of a splint to wear while you sleep. These are small, clear, and comfortable and simply fit over your lower teeth.
Our splints are called Sleep Clench Inhibitors (Sci) and they are supplied by the experts at S4S Dental Laboratory. The Sci can be fitted during your dental appointment, and the Sci+ is made in the dental laboratory. Your dentist will be able to explain the differences between the two and which would be the most appropriate model for you.
