How long do dental veneers last?
Dental veneers are strong, stain resistant, and long lasting – you should be able to keep them for 15-20 years.
How do I care for my dental veneers?
You can care for your dental veneers in the same way as you would with natural teeth. You should brush them with a fluoride toothpaste for two minutes, twice a day, and floss daily.
How much does Invisalign cost?
Invisalign treatment costs between £2,695 - £5,500. The price range depends on your exact treatment needs and we will be able to give you a clear indication of the price during your free consultation.
How does Invisalign work?
Invisalign works by using a series of clear aligners that are used in sequence to safely and gently straighten your teeth. You will regularly see your Treehouse Dental orthodontist in Crouch End to receive your new aligners and continually assess your treatment.
Can you show me Invisalign before and after pictures?
We have a vast array of Invisalign before and after images that we can share with you during your free consultation. Some of these will show similar starting points to your own and these can be really useful to help you visualise your own proposed outcome.
Is Invisalign worth it?
We think so! Not only is Invisalign an investment into the appearance of your smile, it also has a huge benefit on the health of your teeth and gums. A straight smile is easier to keep clean as there are less places for bacteria to hide and plaque to build.
How long does composite bonding last?
If the treatment is properly maintained and cared for, we expect composite bonding to last around 5 years before it needs replacing.
Will composite bonding whiten my teeth?
If you would like your teeth to be whiter, we would recommend a course of teeth whitening treatment prior to composite bonding. This will allow you to achieve your desired shade so that we can match the composite shade to your natural teeth. Composite cannot be whitened with tooth whitening gel.
How long does teeth whitening treatment last?
This does vary from patient to patient and will be determined by lifestyle factors such as diet and habits like smoking that cause natural staining. As a general rule, most patients like to top up their teeth whitening every 6 months using a single refresher syringe of gel.
Is teeth whitening safe?
Teeth whitening prescribed by a dental professional within a dental practice is completely safe. The products we use are subject to strict regulation to ensure patient safety. Only professional teeth whitening kits contain the active ingredients – hydrogen peroxide or carbamide peroxide – at a level that is both effective enough to achieve results and safe.
Do I need to change my diet if I have dental veneers?
No. Your dental veneers will be super strong and act just like natural teeth, so you can enjoy your usual diet without any concerns.
Can I whiten my dental veneers?
Only natural teeth will change shade with teeth whitening treatment, so it is important to discuss your desired shade with your dentist from the start. The only way to improve the shade of your dental veneers is to replace them.
Does Invisalign treatment hurt?
Invisalign treatment can make your teeth ache a little at first, especially when a new aligner is fitted. This eases quite quickly, and all of our patients manage it with over-the-counter painkillers, such as paracetamol.
How long does Invisalign treatment take?
Every Invisalign journey is unique and the time taken to complete treatment depends on your own individual needs. Some patients will only require 12 weeks of treatment, while others will need 18 months. We will give you a proposed treatment time during your free consultation.
Am I suitable for Invisalign treatment?
Suitability for Invisalign treatment will depend on your own unique needs. Our specialist orthodontist will be able to advise whether aligner treatment is appropriate for you or whether alternative treatment would be more suitable.
Do you offer finance for Invisalign treatment?

Do my teeth need to be straight before composite bonding?
While composite bonding can be used to mask minor misalignment, we may recommend teeth straightening treatment first. This will mean less composite material is required, achieving a far more natural and longer lasting final result.
Does composite bonding look natural?
Yes. All of the cosmetic dental practitioners at Treehouse Dental are highly skilled perfectionists who are masters at creating beautiful smiles that look seamless.
Will my dental crowns whiten?
No. Teeth whitening treatment will only whiten natural teeth. Any dental restorations will not change shade and you may find that you will need to replace old crowns, veneers, or composite bonding to match your new, whiter shade.
Can I see a beautician for teeth whitening?
No. By law, teeth whitening can only be prescribed by a dental professional. For your safety and peace of mind that the products you are using are safe and effective, always see a dental professional.
